Introduction
At IBM, work is more than a job - it's a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you've never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world's most challenging problems? If so, lets talk.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The role of the Data Analyst is to support data modelling activities as directed by the Lead Data Modeler. These activities include analyzing source system documentation to draft a target data dictionary, identify data patterns (real time, intraday, batch) and develop target state data flow and process flow diagrams that will all serve as the primary inputs for modeling the data. The Data Analyst must possess an understanding of relational databases to develop the data modeling inputs in the appropriate context. Under the direction and training of the Lead Data Modeler, the Data Analyst will make specific updates to the data models primarily in terms of data object names and definitions.

The Data Analyst must also possess the skills to effectively collaborate with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain all of the information necessary to develop complete and accurate data models in addition to managing all project artifacts using change control procedures.
