The operational models built to support static, on-premise systems are increasingly under strain by the proliferation of cloud technologies that introduce many challenges relating to scale and complexity. Businesses of all shapes and sizes recognize that the way they observe and react to their workloads in the new cloud paradigm requires a unique perspective supported by modern habits and techniques necessary to affect that change.
To support the needs of our clients, we're seeking experienced Site Reliability Engineers who have lived the transformation process, understand the tenets of SRE, and have the skills necessary to teach and mentor using a co-creation model.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Garage Senior Transformation SRE will work with our largest clients to help them define and implement a new way of delivering operations that meets their business needs and improves the quality of the services they provide to their customers.
Using IBM Design Thinking as the framework for discovery and ideation, you will guide clients through the process of understanding the elements of transformation. Skills development, organizational governance, the application of technology, and the methods required to measure improvement are examples of subject areas you might explore.
You will also work closely with your client using a co-delivery approach to implement the new model. You'll interact with parties of all stripes, from the operations professional transitioning to SRE to members of the c-suite.
Your role in the IBM Garage and the work you do will heavily influence a client's eagerness to purchase IBM solutions and services. We strive to identify client needs and deliver meaningful outcomes in the form of proof points using IBM platform, software, and professional services.
